Moan worthy... Orgasmic... mmm... maybe it was just the PMS that inspired such thoughts... but my god, that's some good stuff! I was torn looking at all the flavors, and the gal working said I could sample as many as I wanted.... So I asked for the Peanut Butter chocolate... and went no further. I may have fallen in love... If you don't like peanut butter... fear not... they have many many many more flavors... kinda wish I'd counted... but do yourself a flavor and at least TRY the peanut butter chocolate....

This place is fantastic on all accounts. I walked in on a busy Saturday night and was quickly greeted by the ladies behind the counter. This was my first time here and they were so ready to assist me and offer me as many samples as needed to make an informed decision. There are many flavors available and every one I tasted was creamy and delicious. They offer some specialty artisanal flavors and I chose a couple of those. The coconut has actually coconut shavings in it and is incredible is you like coconut. Although the gelato was fantastic, the real stand our factor to me was the exceptional customer service. Everyone seemed happy to be there and eager to help. The lady at the register was extremely friendly and chipper even though they were slammed. I will definitely return to this place soon to get my gelato fix but also because I felt so welcomed and enjoyed! It's also located in the heart of a beautiful and vibrant area. Definitely try it out!

Came here after receiving a free frontflip coupon for my birthday and got the piccolo size, which can accommodate up three flavors! Lavender vanilla: perfect, not too sweet and just a bit flowery! Soy peanut butter: amazing for a soy based gelato! I enjoyed the harder consistency, which was reminiscent of crunch peanut butter. Coffee flavor: a bit bland and too sugary for my liking. I like for my coffee desserts to be more bitter. Pricey as all gelato places are, at $5 for the piccolo, but great selection with light and soy/water based options for those who are lactose intolerant. Just wish there was a bit more seating around in the middle of the mall.

This place is amazing! Great, efficient service and a huge variety of excellent gelato. I ordered Lavender Vanilla out of curiosity, but it ended up being my favorite - lavender wasn't just for color :)

Good gelato. Nice selection of flavors. Samples are appreciated. Got a sweet tooth while in the mall? Head to Paciugo.

Not sure it's as good as Sheridan's but they have a great selection of flavors including sorbet which I'm a big fan of. Great service and you can mix up to 4 flavors which is cool. I wish I liked it a little more and could give it 5 stars but it came up short of my expectations.

Good Gelato for the price. Stop by to try some samples and see if any flavors change your mind to grab a bite a sweet goodness.

Go. Why aren't you there? Go. They're awesome, gelato is awesome, it's all awesome.

My review is for the Paciugo at Park Place, 5260 W 116th Place, Leawood KS. I'm a gelato snob. Paciugo is the best in the area. The manager has been there for years. She is incredibly helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic. You can try samples but don't overdo it. The flavor selection is awesome - generally 24 different flavors to try. They have soy-based, milk-based, and sorbet selections. They are allergy friendly and know what you can and cannot have if you suffer from nut, milk, soy or gluten allergies. The Italian Roast coffee is rich and divine. They will even make fresh for you if you ask or make decaf if you need it. They have outdoor seating under trees which I enjoy. Parking is super-easy and most times you can park right in front of the store. If not, the parking garage is across the street. A medium cup of gelato is around $5 with tax. You can have multiple flavors in one cup if you cannot decide. They pack a lot in the cup, so don't fret too much by the price. I prefer Park Place Paciugo over Oak Park Mall Paciugo. I think the gelato at Park Place is fresher and the service is remarkably superior. In my experience, Oak Park Mall staff are teenagers on their phones and are not as willing to help with service or samples. They are also not as knowledgeable in regards to allergen-friendly ingredients. I pick Park Place every time when I need my gelato fix.

This place is awesome. I used to love them when they were on the Plaza, now I love them in P&L. The service is always super friendly, patient and attentive. They are always handing out samples, and dealing with people who just stand there and can't decide what to order. If you like gelato, this is one of the only places to get in in the area. A little on the pricey side for some, but it is a delicious escape. Love it!!!

Lots of variety medium cup has 4 flavors $4.29 n large 5 flavors $4.99 they don't necessarily pack the gelato down but it does hang over the top so is a decent amount. Some flavors: lychee, chocolate coconut, extra dark chocolate, banana cookie chocolate, jackfruit, pistachio, wedding cake, tres vanilla, chocolate turtle, just to name a few. Store is near Dillards south not in food court but a stand near middle of mall.

I've been to Chicaco, Denver, St. Louis and now that i'm in California....Paciugo is still the best spot for Gelato. A seasoned pallet can tell when there is love in food. Paciugo doesn't use artificial ingredients, they just simply "do it right" (Consistantly) Real ingredients into the gelato (Real) Nothing better than seeing a business take the time and effort to make a great product. I only wish I Paciugo was out in Cali :/

OK - I have been a repeat customer mostly at the other location. But I can now say that I've found a way to compromise with myself if I absolutely cannot avoid having to enter a mall. Previously nothing could get me to step foot into a mall. It is always a forced, obligatory type of an activity, that I will put off until the last possible minute. But I did discover a Paciugo located inside of Oak Park Mall. This now is my REWARD for entering the mall. It is about the only incentive I have, so I'm going with it. This last time, after a very calculated trip, where I planned out my parking, entrance, route to destinations, AND an exit strategy, I made my final (& most enjoyable stop) at Paciugo. This location is free-standing in the mall, with some tables nearby. And I have been delighted each time at the friendly demeanor of the employees. I am used to that at the Leawood location. But surely working in the mall could drive someone batty enough to be grouchy?? I know I would be. But that is not what I have experienced. I got the same service I am used to receiving. And as always -- I have to let folks know that if you eat dairy -- you have a WIDE range to choose from -- all of which look absolutely amazing. My dining companion this trip had a 3-flavor combo of chocolate, peanut butter, & butter pecan gelato. I went with my favorite non-dairy chocolate sorbet (double order), and a ginger-pear . This location has a happy hour on Fridays ALL YOU CAN EAT. I need to steer clear of this place on Fridays. I know it would not end well if I had unlimited access to the non-dairy frozen treats. But I encourage anyone else to go check it out. I can't imagine a better way to treat yourself during a trip to the mall. (I amshuddering now just thinking how I would ever motivate myself to be in the mall without the gelato/sorbet waiting for me). The flavors I saw on the dairy list this past visit were enough to make me want to dabble in the dairy. You can consult their website for the flavors available each day. I need to NOT do that so often, or I will likely end up at the mall again.

I had a coupon. Can I eat 10 dollars of gelato? Yes,and I'm ashamed to admit it. I have had a quest for gelato, since my son bought some home from the grocery store, in the frozen foods section. So whenever I have the chance, I jump on it. The gelato at Paciugo's sits shiny and pretty, and becking you call. My sundae consisted of 3 types of gelato. I chose pistachio, caramel, and also rose. They added Italian chocolate topping. I don't like chocolate that much, but I like high quality chocolate. This was high quality chocolate topping! The rose, by the way was my favorite. It was pink, and was infused with sugar and rose water. Rose water that was obvious, and you could taste it. I had graham cracker topping, and whipped cream. Having not spent the 10 dollars yet, I had them make hot chocolate, with real milk. The bowl had powdered sugar pieces under the ice cream. By the time I was done, I literally could feel an amazing sugar high, and I liked it. I felt the sugar high all the way to my car. I've never had a sugar high before, and it felt happy. From this point forward, I'm moving my Paciugo trip up a day, and eating it on 4/20. If people only knew...

Long story short: Pretty good gelato at a price you would kind of expect. Great flavors. Long story long: After dinner at OK Joe's, our friend asked if we wanted gelato, so he lead us here to the Oak Park Mall and Paciugo Gelato, a stand right in the middle of the mall. First impression is this is a hoigh and toighty kind of place. I think they have a shop somewhere else in the area, but this was closer for us. Checking out their flavors, they had the usual suspects you'd find at a more higher end ice cream/gelateria, and checked to see if they had any unique flavors. The girl behind the counter was super helpful and let me try any flavor I chose. I first tried the pistachio, and wow, I have to tell that was the best pistachio ice cream or gelato I've ever had. It tasted as if the pistachios had been roasted, bringing out a much richer flavor. I would have gotten that if I hadn't chosen to go with a medly of sorbettos. I tried just about all of their sorbetto flavors, and eventually decided to get a medio (up to 4 flavors) with melano (sp?), tropical medley, and the blood orange. She said I could get a 4th flavor and I told her to surprise me. Yes, that usually comes out good when you say that, but she picked the lemon for me. She warned me it was a little bit more tart than most people prefer, which I could see what she meant, but I liked it. The melon was a nice smooth cantaloupe flavor, and tropical medle was prominent with pineapple but had other citrus flavors, and the blood orange, though my friend thought was too sour, was just right. I was quite content with my choices, service as I already mentioned was friendly, and I will definitely be back for more of that pistachio, as wel as trying their other flavors.

Pistachio - not so pistachio-y Rocky Road - good, but chocolate overpowers other flavors, so be careful if you get several flavors Pannacotta (wedding cake) - tasty, but kind of eh You can get 3 flavors in a bowl! And even the smallest bowl will fill you up.

Finally had the opportunity to pop my gelato cherry at Paciugo's (Pah-Choo-Go's for the linguistically-challenged) over the weekend. I don't know what gelato is or how it differs from your typical ice cream, but a quick Google search revealed that they are actually quite similar. The main difference being gelato has a moderately lower butterfat and sugar content...interesting. Maybe I don't have a very distinguished palette, but I can't taste the difference. Large variety of flavor offerings. Some standard. Some creative. Some bizarre (Chocolate Chipotle?). All rich in body. All delectable. Take small bites and savor. The presentation of their display case is sheer awesomeness. The gelato appears to be hand sculpted and literally looks like...cream! (as opposed to a frozen solid mass). Grazie Paciugo!

I first became infatuated with Paciugo and gelato when I first tried it in Austin, TX years ago. Also lived down the street from one in Houston and stopped by from time to time to cool off from the hot, humid weather. It's just too bad I have to drive all the way to Oak Park Mall to have this creamy creation and there isn't a location on the Missouri side of Kansas City. With a $10 Groupon and a willing friend as a participant, we made the trek for some gelato. There was hardly anyone in line during the middle of a Tuesday so we got to sample a variety of flavors. I got a piccolo (small) with 3 different flavors - salted caramel, mint chocolate chip, and Irish cream. Decided to forgo my usual favorite of pistachio as I've ordered it too often. My friend ordered a piccolo as well and I still had a few dollars left on my Groupon so got a latte. 2 piccolo gelatos + 1 latte= a little over $10. I paid 36 cents. Awesome. The only other places I've had gelato in the KC area is at Ingredient in the Plaza. Paciugo is hands down better.

YUM! is the best way to describe Paciugo Gelato. They have the best gelato, I think, in the metro area. I just wish they have a place north of the river since we have to drive to Oak Park Mall to get our fix. They have traditional flavors and then they have some real innovative ones. I like that they have the water base ices (lemon is my favorite!), milk based and cream based. Something for everyones taste. I think they are also priced very reasonable. In fact they just had a Groupon which I jumped all over. I would have no problem sending anyone here for a great Italian treat.

my dish had pistachio almond wedding cake dark chocolate and amaretto chocolate. all four were SO good and the experience of choosing flavors and having the nice service recommend a 4th flavor the amaretto and even give me a sample. i like having this option as a rest stop in the mall, to sit and enjoy before you continue your shopping trek .. AWESOME place!! . stop by! i stop by way too often but obviously forgot to update my review since 2010.. whoops.. sorry.

OMG the most delicious gelatto in the KC area. And I love how they have a wonderful array of water base and milk base. You can really tell the quality of product here. And their flavors are soooo yummy. BUT what most impresses me about this place is not the product but the personnel. Yep, they are a delight to deal with. They truly feel the passion for their product and it shows. Ownership of this type has long been missing in modern society, but you'll find that here YOU are the customer once again. Love you guys! Never change!

Always great gelato. Always friendly and helpful employees.

Never really cared for Gelato before, until I found this little shop in the mall. I love it more than any kind of ice cream, custard, frozen yogurt out there. May be because I am a sucker for wedding cake flavor, but that besides the point. The staff is extra friendly and helpful with the taste testing at both locations in Kansas. Also if you become their fan on facebook they will eventually call your name for a free cup. I am winning proof.

Holy Crap this stuff is wonderful. The bubblegum gelato reminds me of when I was a kid. It is wonderful and light and delicate yet still full of flavor. They also make a lavender vanilla that makes my taste buds dance. It is vanilla with just the slightest hint of lavender, not too overpowering. They always have one weird flavor like bacon I try to ignore that.
